George Vanderbilt officially opened his home in Asheville, North Carolina to family and friends, the largest privately owned home in the world. A castle, it consists of 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces with an indoor pool, gymnasium, bowling alley, servants, quarters, etc.
